FROU-FROU, sold
5x7 framed pastel. Bidding starts at $100.00, or buy now for $450.00
Frou-Frou is one of three cats we live with. She is the reserved alpha, who climbs a persimmon tree in the center of our courtyard (in the making) and perches on the roof of my studio to observe her kingdom. She loves to be stroked, but pretends she doesn't. If you wisk her up and hold her tightly, she purrs. The difficulty is in catching her.

Just back from Chicago
I just spent 4 days in Chicago, where I taught a workshop for the Chicago Pastel Painters Society at the Pallete and Chisel. What a wonderful bunch of people at the CPP. What a wonderful place is the Pallete and Chisel. Creaky wooden floors, winding red carpeted staircase, paintings by artists I've read about all my life, lining the walls--hallowed walls. The place is enough to make me want to pack my bags and move to Chicago, which was glorious the weekend I was there. Sunny skies, warm weather, gardens beautiful.
Got home just in time to meet with my sisters and Dad for a Father's Day cook-out.
