I just spent 4 days in Chicago, where I taught a workshop for the Chicago Pastel Painters Society at the Pallete and Chisel. What a wonderful bunch of people at the CPP. What a wonderful place is the Pallete and Chisel. Creaky wooden floors, winding red carpeted staircase, paintings by artists I've read about all my life, lining the walls--hallowed walls. The place is enough to make me want to pack my bags and move to Chicago, which was glorious the weekend I was there. Sunny skies, warm weather, gardens beautiful.
Got home just in time to meet with my sisters and Dad for a Father's Day cook-out.
