Bearded Iris
Bearded Iris is a 12x16 alkyd on canvas. Interested buyers can contact me personally. Alkyd is an ail paint with a synthetic medium, which helps the paint dry quickly.
Just playing with new imagery. I think I like this. Any opinions? Maybe flowers for a while. I may run to the DeKalb Farmers Market tomorrow, while I have my 5 year old grandson with me, and pick up some flowers to paint all next week. Gotta do something different. I'm dying here.

GIRL IN A RED KIMONO, click to bid
GIRL IN A RED KIMONO is a 5x7 pastel on Pastelbord.
Still below freezing temperatures here in Atlanta. Icy patches on the roads make driving hazardous. But 50ยบ temps promised for Thursday. I'm headed for the studio, 40 feet from my kitchen door, anxious to be productive, anxious to work on some new imagery. What to do... lately I'm thinking...cats? I've got 3 of them hunkered down in my cozy studio, reluctant to venture out onto the snow covered deck. There's a cat show in Birmingham at the end of the month. Could make for some interesting photos. Or it could be an absolute dud.
Any suggestions from you out there? If I follow through with any ideas you submit, a free original 5x7 pastel for you.

ANNA IN FLOWERS, click to bid
ANNA IN FLOWERS is a 5x7 pastel on pastelbord.
Too many distractions lately. I'm eager to get back into a routine. Let's hope this is the beginning of it.
Atlanta has done it again. All day the news stations have been updating us on the approaching severe storm. Snow expected. Schools will close. Salt is piled high and ready to distribute. Grocery stores are crowded with people loading up their carts for the long days stuck inside.
We got light, very light, flurries off and on this afternoon. The ground is just wet; nothing is sticking. I think we have survived this severe winter storm. I'll keep you posted, and may use this blog if we need to signal for help in shoveling our way out of this.
