STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE BEGINS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2021

 

I have uploaded about 60 oils and pastels to eBay for my STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE. Some of these are sketches, some are quick demos from my classes, some have tried but never found their new homes. None are framed but they are standard sizes and will fit into ready-made frames. Keep in mind that your monitor is not calibrated to mine, so there may be color differences.

AUCTION: Auctions begin today, Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 10:00. Auctions end in 7 days, next Wednesday.

SHIPPING: Shipping prices are added to the sale. Once the auctions are complete, I will ship via US Postal Service. If you purchase multiple paintings, I can combine shipping; eBay should accommodate that so you won’t have excessive shipping costs. I assume shipping may take 3 or 4 days. If you need your shipment expedited, contact me through eBay, I will send you an invoice to cover overnight FedEx shipping.

STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE

 Just a heads-up here...I'm getting ready to upload a whole bunch of pastels and oils for another STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE. It's time to clean out my studio to make room for all the new work I'll be creating in the upcoming year.

All works are older pieces which have been around way too long; they will be 8x10 or larger, and will be auctioned on eBay with prices beginning as low as $100. Last time I did this (several years ago), most of them sold for just that much. Auctions begin this coming Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m., and each piece will be up for 5-7 days. That should give any buyers plenty of time to receive them by Christmas.

My painting, "A Song Before Dinner, " (9x12 framed oil), has been entered into the silent auction for the Aimee Copeland Foundation fundraiser. The online auction goes live Monday night (tonight, September 20).

 

Aimee Copeland, you might remember, is the beautiful college girl who at age 24 fell into a creek from a home-made zip line in the west Georgia woods several years ago. She was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating bacterial infection. While the doctors worked hard to save her life, they had to amputate both of Aimee's hands, her right foot and her entire left leg.

 

Today she a remarkable inspiration for the handicapped. The Aimee Copeland Foundation Gala Fundraiser will be at the Chastain Horse Park in Atlanta on Saturday, September 25. Tickets and info available at www.aimeecopelandfoundation.org

I have been invited to be the monthly guest Q&A artist in Sandra Burshell's New Orleans Drawing Group, Thursday, May 6. The NODG Zoom sessions are every Thursday, 5:45-8:45pm (Eastern), consisting of a half hour of short clothed poses, followed by 2 1/2 hours of one long relaxed, clothed pose. The informal Q&A session, which starts after a short break (about 8:55pm eastern), usually lasts 30 minutes to one hour.

Artists are invited to join the drawing sessions. There is a $15 model fee per session. I participated recently and it's a delightful group of artists, and it feels like a normal live sketch group. Join us!

The Booth Western Art Museum, just north of Atlanta in Cartersville, GA, is hosting its annual fundraiser right now, an online auction rather than their traditional gala event. The live auction will be held February 19, 12:00 noon. The silent auction (where you'll find my donation, "Afternoon in Troyes, France") is open now through February 22, 12:00 EST.
