Next Saturday I will be driving to Chattanooga to teach a workshop to some dedicated artists who persuaded me to come teach. They searched and found a studio large enough to accommodate all of us, scheduled the models, and orchestrated all the class details themselves. Thanks, Mimi and Cynthia. I’ll give this everything I’ve got.
But before the workshop begins Sunday morning, I’m stopping by River Gallery to drop off some new work and retrieve some older work. River Gallery wants to have a small reception of sorts Sunday night for the artists in the workshop and anybody who’s ever expressed interest in my pastels. I warned Angie, of River Gallery, that any of us who came would be coming straight from the class, most likely. Filthy jeans, dirty fingernails and all, but we’d be very ready for a glass of wine.
So if anybody out there is anywhere near Chattanooga Sunday night, August 5, please join us at River Gallery from 5:30-7:30. The more the merrier. Click on the "Off to Chattanooga soon" headline above for location and directions.
You have beautiful solid work with well structured forms. I can see your passion in your art. Good Ole Chattanooga! Enjoy our city!
