Sunday and Monday

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos SUNDAY We woke up to breakfast on the patio with the sun shining brilliantly. People drifted downstairs at their leisure; it was probably the smell of coffee and the increasing chatter that woke them. Around noon (it's like trying to herd cats here), we went to a brocante, where everyone meandered, browsing for little treasures. A few of us found them, those with the experienced eyes. I wasn't one of them. The things I liked were too expensive, too big or too heavy to carry home with me. I'll try again next Sunday. After a late lunch of galettes avec l'oeuf, fromage et jambon, we drove home (oh no--I'm calling it home!) to work in the studio. Rosza was waiting for us when we arrived. We spent a couple of hours in the studio, where I showed everyone what we'd be doing the next 2 weeks, and I noticed lots of yawning. So off to dinner on the patio--salmon lasagna, salad, tiramisu for dessert, then to bed for some. Others are still on the patio deep in conversation. Not me tonight. My job begins in the morning. Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos MONDAY We worked all day in the studio. We set up a boudoir scene to mimic something Toulouse-Lautrec or Degas might have done. The students did some beautiful beautiful work (you can see them hanging above the students). And this is only the first day of the class. There is going to be a lot of really good stuff in two weeks.

  1. Ooh! How exciting! And what a great idea to set up a whole scene like that. I would have loved to be there! It's going to be an awesome week!

  2. Marg, I like that you figured out how to size the pictures and put them inline with the photos; however, it was kind of cool to seem them so immense before. The charm offensive has got to stop, you have me searching for tickets to Sicily and San Miguel!
